I see your point, but why use the photo of a Italian american "Iron eyes" Cody?

hi this was the image from (my) childhood that was used as a television commercial against throwing trash out of car windows. Thought it might resonate with the demographic I wanted to reach-- folks who think they are doing all the right things but never hesitate to use that football team's name. I also didn't have an image choice recommended by changethename.org which maybe is a good idea I should contact them.

I am 6.5 % lenape , not a whole lot Native American but it doesn't bother me , neither when my 60%+ grand uncle calls me pale face.

the name of the team doesn't bother you? ok humm. do you know if it bothers your grand uncle? so as an example I ask people why we don't call the team the Washington Whities; Or the Washington Rednecks. I thought Native Americans generally disliked the name but then again it just might be in the noise there are enough other things to get upset abt.

we aren't sissy's so no red skin off our backs.. It may bother my uncle but he hates everything including all the races.He likes 3 things, whiskey,Willie nelson and killing things. Yes, to call someone "red skin" is wrong, just like it would be to call someone "orange skin" or cheeto. It is all wrong at time s but when the term "Redskin" came about it was a team naming themselves after ppl they thought of as brave and fierce fighters.

ok thanks for explaining that I hav only seen the protest side from changethemascot.org. I lived in northern Virginia for years and the protests were part of life there. The team owner hates anyone who hates the team name. Lots of hate.
