Every legally cast ballot should be counted. Otherwise, what are we wasting our time going to the polls for?

When you set an arbitrary deadline to cut off the vote counting, and all the votes aren't tabulated by then, whose ballot didn't get counted? Mine? Yours? Are you okay with that?

Doesn't mean that the rule wasn't arbitrary when it was instituted or agreed upon. Florida law stops all voter registration 29 days before an election. If you turned 18 or became a citizen during that window, you were out of luck. Yes, there appear to be partisans trying to steal the election by STOPPING the election because they are ahead in the current vote count. I agree with you that the process needs to be reformed. Because one person one vote is not supposed to be something we just pay lip service to, like "liberty and justice for all."

You're speaking about the electoral college, for one, which only kicks in when we're electing a president. In all other races, it most certainly is one person one vote because they are decided by the popular vote.
