Actually the scientific community there all uses metric (as they do around the world including the US), but the most tourists and civilian residents are from the US.

Actually just checked my facts. Antarctica is gray as it is not a country, is actually the ice-wall around the world, the Mercator projection just shows it incorrectly.

Yeh science uses metric as its commonly used, so they can all speak the same language so to say. So antartica is a continent but not a country? Thats the opposite of australia

England uses both. Still use mile per hour for the speed limit and distance.

Canada uses both as the building trade is still dominated by US products so we still use 2 x 4s (although they are not actually 2" or 4" - don't get me started). We still say PSI for pressure and no one here understand kilopascals.

We also say a pint of beer, which can be 12ozs (traditional Canadian breer bottles), 16ozs US, or 20 UK (what we expect).
