I've become re-obsessed with all the early Genesis albums lately. Watching later interviews with the guys I can just about understand what happened between them to go their separate ways. Prog was happening big at the time but Genesis always had something the other bands didn't, and even to this day, it remains undefined.

I've been toying with grabbing all their earlier CD's. Used to have 'em all on cassette back in the day. If you're a fan of prog and comedy, check out the series "Brian Pern", a great parody on prog (especially Genesis), which even has Peter Gabriel doing a few cameo appearances. I agree Genesis were different, but I still love the old Yes & ELP stuff.

Cool, I'll check that out. Yes and ELP were huge when I was younger. Sadly so many of those guys are gone now, Greg Lake was such a natural musician and writer. Also a band called Camel, and Brand X.

Brand X were great. Never really heard Camel, but thanks for the tip, I''l check them out. Going through a Gary Numan revival at the moment, he just keeps getting better.
