It wasn't war. The soldiers had Hotchkiss guns and the Indians were unarmed. That's not war. That's a massacre. To be a war, there has to be armed men on both sides. 45 men were all that were in the group of 300 that were killed. all the rest were women and children. The soldiers were cowards to massacre all those women and children.

You need to dig a litle deeper into your history. The then War Dept had authorized military action against any hostile be the indian or mexican or outlaw. Dont look at an event look at placemark in time. Then when you have been in a war you understand that a troop has an enemy and you win to win and history and thoses who are are acedemic be damned. Right and wrong is only seen through the prism of those fortunate enough to have never seen the horror of war. Believe me I understand.

History is replete with examples. Believe me I understand.

You are an Indian hater. I will say a prayer for you. Your people contributed to the genocide of the American Indian.'

That's a broad statement considering how little you know of me, of history and of the topic you are trying advocate for.

I know a great deal of the history of the Indians and the genocide of their people by the white men that were called soldiers. When they won a battle it was called a victory. When the Indians won a battle, it was called a massacre. The Indians were only protecting their homelands and their hunting grounds from the encroachment of the white man that kept taking their land. Wouldn't you fight if someone tried to steal your house from you?
