First World Problems

The TPP was a global trade organization that involved countries from all continents. The primary profiteers would have been bankers, healthcare providers, and transportation providers. They would have made their profits by gouging regular people like you and me as well as businesses. The end result would have been that the top .00001% would have become even richer and the top 1% would have been pushed closer to everyone beneath them. Basically the super duper rich would become even more super duper rich and everyone else would be screwed, even the plain super rich.

NAFTA stands for North American Free Trade Agreement. It's a guideline for how Canada, the US, and Mexico trade with each other. Like every single other deal the US has been engaged in, it heavily favored the other countries involved. Trump is re negotiating our trade deals so our country can quit hemorrhaging money. He's already had tremendous success in Europe and they hate him for it, but that's not NAFTA related.

You should also look up the TISA.

You don't understand the underlying problem with the TPP. It was designed to make a very specific group of people lots of money by siphoning it from the citizens and businesses of the countries involved. It was designed to keep the poor poor, make the rich less rich, and make the richest handful of people on the planet even more ridiculously rich.

The NAFTA agreement doesn't play a part in that role at all. Whatever provisions the article mentioned will contribute very differently to the overall function of the trade agreement.

That article is also clearly biased. It's trying to make it seem like Trump shot down the TPP for no reason and is using the same 'provisions' anyway; in other words it's implying that there was no point for him to pull us out of the TPP.

You make it kind of sound that I was pro TPP , I am not. Anyway there is more than one article than the one I posted that explain how Trump is slipping provisions of the TPP in the NAFTA renegotiations, Trump is good at selling wolf tickets.

Again, the provisions have nothing to do with the TPP. There are completely different players involved. If anything he's using the provisions that would have favored foreign powers in the TPP to favor the US in the new NAFTA deal. I can live with that.

Well we'll just have to agree to disagree not everything that you don't agree with is fake news, it seems like you have emotionally invested in Trump and I won't try to convince you Trump is a snake oil salesman.

It's not about what I agree with. That story IS fake news. It took about 5 mins of research to find out that The Nation Company LLC is a completely biased publication that even had a past editor that ran for president of the US as the Socialist candidate. It openly admits that it is a progressive and liberal media outlet. As with any other left leaning media it's only objective is to smear Trump.

news is garbage, research is the only way to know anything. Based on my research I could tell from first glance that was fake news. Doing a little bit of digging proved it.
