don't confuse concern and hope for jealousy or you'll miss the point which is to share.

actually it is greed, and being envious of the rich, is being envious of the rich, which is why rich and greed are defined differently in the dictionaries. it's also materialism as well as greed, and it's also lack of compassion for others in need who could survive if helped by anyone including the owner of such vehicles. trying to justify that kind of over excess isn't greed either; it's flawed from the get. there isn't justification for it whilst it could be liquidated to save lives from babies on up.

envy is envy; greed is greed, and they're defined differently cuz they're not the same things. most people have things they could sell and they could use the money to donate to various charities but they choose not to.

As nouns the difference between greed and envy. is that greed is a selfish or excessive desire for more than is needed or deserved, especially of money, wealth, food, or other possessions while envy is resentful desire of something possessed by another or others (but not limited to material possessions).

quite different things. noticing that stuff could be sold to save lives isn't envy...it's noticing that stuff could be sold to save lives, and also to improve the quality of life for many, and i don't know what the solution to get all people to stop suffering is, no, but then neither do you or does anyone, though my guess is it has to do with loving folks and going from there; being helpful and charitable, etc...but even if all people were very charitable and nice there would still be suffrage.

i'll repeat this comment which i wrote above already...don't confuse concern and hope for jealousy or you'll miss the point which is to share. it's like schindlers list when liam neeson was considering how his vehicle could have bought ten more lives to save, and how his ring could have been worth another life etc...the thing is, it takes very little to no money at times to save lives...and people's possessions if sold could be turned into money that could be given to people who would therefore save lives as a consequence...not that they should have to have the money but many won't work without it, etc...so each person decides who and what to fight for or save or not to care about etc...or if not decides, then naturally cares or doesn't care for folks, etc.

i'd rather live without eyes or legs than have a billion dollars sitting around collecting dust when that money could save millions or at least hundreds of thousands of lives. the rich aren't all that enviable; they're more like morally questionable...but then, so are the poor, who could also do more, so life and death keep doing their things.

lots of folks figure greed is simply wanting more than you need; others think greed is wanting more and more whether or not it's more than one needs; and dictionaries differ in their definitions; so...it's guesswork from the get.
