Just made out the drama inside the car, & the keys in the door, so I had to do another meme.

Years ago I stopped and found a man out cold, engine still running. I couldn't rouse him & decided the smart thing to do was turn off the engine and put his keys on the roof. Figured he'd wake up when he had to piss, piss and find the keys if his eyes were focusing. He wasn't there the next morning, car was gone. problem solved.

We were at a party and the keys were taken away from a guy who had too much to drink. A coworker went out and disabled the car (or so he thought), I believe he pulled some spark plug wires. The guy had an extra pair of keys and he somehow started the car and drove home. The next day he was mad because the car ran rough (backfired maybe?) and that would drawn attention to him. Good that you helped the guy but bizarre how he ended up like that.

Death and disaster are averted so often that it is difficult for me to imagine that it is just "luck" or "chance" that prevent more mayhem than we see.
