It is NOT free. That money comes from somewhere. I think you know who pays for it. The taxpayers, that's who.

It isn't free in Canada. Canadians tax pay for it instead of for an army. Their entire national defense is a couple guys wearing cute hats riding around on moose. What war are you referring to? Last I checked the President was forcing NATO to pay for their own defense instead of us fighting all their wars for them.

Roll Safe Think About It Meme | IT ISN'T. TAXPAYERS HAVE IT TAKEN FROM THEM AND PUT INTO THE SYSTEM. THEY ARE ALWAYS PAYING FOR THIS "FREE" HEALTHCARE EVEN IF THEY NEVER US | image tagged in memes, roll safe think about it | made w/ Imgflip meme maker
Not to mention how many complaints I have heard from people who get stuck on wait lists for treatments or procedures. At least from the people I have talked to, this is what I hear.

As the saying goes, "You get what you pay for"

Not to mention this puts the government in control of healthcare. Now THAT'S scary. I do not want the government involved in my health care in any way. Wheres Mr. Gribble!

That is not so true. Any required treatments are takin care of pretty damn quick. I myself had a very short wait time for open heart surgery in 2010, and my mother has been battling cancer and all her treatments and surgeries have also happened pretty damn quick and free. Not to mentiom the fact that if anything happens, broken hand (in my case once) or car accident, anything, it is free of charge. Free. The only things you pay for are parking, tv, private rooms. Some of it may not be perfect, and if people stopped going to emergency for the sniffles, also free, it is still a great system that obviously works cuz sunce its inception not one single asshat has tried to repeal or replace it. It comes out of your taxes, but our taxes aren't going for an unecessary military parade, space force, or farmer bailouts. And no the government is not in control of your healthcare. When my heart surgery came up, I was given 3 chouces as to which doctor and city, I chose the best in Edmonton at the Mazankowski Clinic, as opposed to Toronto or Winnipeg where I in fact lived. I did have to pay for my own flight however, fare enough, ha ha bad pun.

Perhaps it depends? I know a lady who had to wait 6 months for a scan on her pancreas. This turned out to be cancer which killed her later. This is not the only time I have known someone to be delayed in treatment or diagnosis and have a problem which would have been treatable early on be much worse off thanks to not being ablke to get seen for 6 months. This does happen. At any rate, No thanks on the government sticking their nose in my health care, and no thanks on the government stealing my money to pay for someone else.

Free for you, not for the people paying taxes. Realistically, it's only going to be free if we borrow all the money and seal the debt deal. Enslave the US, but don't worry, you can have all the pills you can swallow.

I do pay $75/month in BC, I also have my own private insurance that help in cases of lost work and recobery and theorapy sessions. Some provinces like Manitoba, no charge. Comes out of taxes, but as I've stated, we're not paying for a military parade, a space force, or farmer bailouts. Elective surgeries however are different, ie. breast implants, face lifts etc. Ot aint perfect, but no need to repeal and replace. Hows that going by the way?
