Oh, you and Chad must go, especially now that you're fairly close. It was built by George Vanderbilt in 1895, and it's the largest private residence in the US. It's an amazing place. It was one of the first houses in America to have running heated water, electricity, central heat and air, and all sorts of cool stuff. We've been dozens of times and there's always more to see. But they have a renowned vineyard and winery on the estate, and you can go for a wine tasting. We did it once lol. We had their sparkling grape juice at our wedding lol They also have a couple inns and several restaurants there. We've talked about saving up for a weekend there. Y'all could feasibly make a day trip if it, but would make a great weekend getaway. Maybe we could go together some time. It's just 45 minute drive for us. Prolly 3 or less for you.
