All social media Facebook, Youtube, Twitter in fact practically the whole internet is driven by ‘hit rates’ and for this reason they love ‘bots’ They keep share prices up and that is the main reason for this love affair, they keep the bubble of a virtual economy alive. Take the bots away and everything stops.
It is possible to attain a high hit rate on this network but nearly 16,000 points in one 24 hour period and maintaining that rate of hits every day……when does it sleep?
“I’ve got X number of friends” has become a measure of status to lots of people and the web companies know this, in truth the number of friends statement is incorrect, it should be
“I’ve got some friends and X number of acquaintances some of which are virtual and most are generated,” why else would you get generated requests from the companies off someone you don’t know?
That’s why ChrisDavis8 comment ‘I’m glad if I get 100 views. But it's all fun and I need a good laugh now and then.’ Is so important, this is meant to be fun but in reality its about money, every meme, comment, troll makes money, there is no free lunch they make the companies lots of money, and if some people create fictitious hits it still makes the companies money. You are aware that the money made in ‘IT’ looks like a bot generated it. The internet is a licence to print money and hence the success of crypto currency.
