When you think you are upgrading your media collection.

Honestly, it is deceiving, but I think films should be watched the way they were intended to be watched. Some of my childhood films were ruined by being remastered. So in other words, it could be either awful or a good idea.

I'll admit I still have an old VCR and still watch video cassettes on it, but since the tapes are still in good enough condition I guess that is a good thing; and videos didn't have region codes which made them easier to play in other parts of the world, so that's also a good thing. On the other hand: the tape got slightly damaged each time you used them, so that's a bad thing, and the machines were also known for "eating" the tapes occasionally, I've lost 2 tapes recently that way, and haven't been able to find replacements yet, so that's another bad thing.

I know the struggle of analog formats, trust me! :)
