I'll admit I still have an old VCR and still watch video cassettes on it, but since the tapes are still in good enough condition I guess that is a good thing; and videos didn't have region codes which made them easier to play in other parts of the world, so that's also a good thing. On the other hand: the tape got slightly damaged each time you used them, so that's a bad thing, and the machines were also known for "eating" the tapes occasionally, I've lost 2 tapes recently that way, and haven't been able to find replacements yet, so that's another bad thing.
