Tudorp, I understand that people think animals taste good but is your taste worth more than an animal's life, d'you think? What if you saw the animal being killed and abused in front of you or had to kill them yourself? What if somebody was publicly abusing cats and dogs? Just a thought. :)

Abuse is a much different situation. I don't hunt anymore, but used to, and see nothing wrong with it as long as it is done respectfully, and for food. Hunting for trophies, or sport, I do not agree with. Don't get me wrong, I have vegan friends, and simply agree to disagree with them, and we are friends anyway. I do agree that before people take a stance on "meat" as I do, they should at some point, killed, harvested, cleaned and prepared their own meat in order to understand what they are doing and know where what they eat comes from. That said, pointless abuse is a totally different subject, that both of us would most likely agree on. My wife use to be vegan herself, and I do respect the lifestyle choice even though my comment is the contrary, and posted in jest. No excuse, because it was a disrespectful comment to a vegan and for that I apologize. I would never had said that to my wife when she was a practicing vegan.
