Some of the homemade stuff might still be mediocre. That being said, I think people should do what they like. Maybe they just like to post relatable sentiments and get in on the social interaction. I also think that if people feel that strongly about strictly original content then maybe those people would enjoy creating their own "original content only" meme site. This site, as well as other popular sites provide reusable templates for the community. Why would anyone choose to participate in a community which is set up for this purpose if they prefer only original content? I understand the "homemade is best" sentiment, but I do not understand going to a party where pre-packaged baked goods are being served and complaining that it isn't homemade. Which is kind of what the whole argument is as it relates tothe web site and users therein.
