I do have to say that I let my daughter listen to it. She is only seven and had no idea what it was. I asked her which of the two words was said. She said "Yanny". So strange. Lol

My kids heard "Yuvvy". LOL

I wonder which age is that transitional age between yanny and laurel. Hmmm lol

I don't know but one thing I have heard is people hearing it differently depending upon the source. Some heard Yanny on the news but Lauren on their laptops or phones.

I had heard that, too. I was telling my husband the other day that it really opened my eyes about what my kid hears when I talk to her. Lol

On youtube there is a video that has sound that only young people can hear, though I think there could be some outliers. You should look it up and see if you can hear it.

Yes, it is actually Laurel. The creator has come out and said that it was Laurel at a lower tone with a random higher tone played over it, and depending on your age and the condition of your hearing, you will hear one over the other. I hear both, and depending on the device it is played on, I hear one louder than the other.
