We had a cat that was part Siamese. I actually delivered her. She adopted my wife, and she stayed with us until the day she died. She helped pull my wife through 2 heart attacks, just purring to her to try and calm her down. We treated her with a lot of love and spoiled her. In turn, she gave us a lot of love. When I got out of the hospital, she would lay on my chest because she knew my heart wasn't quite right. The ticking from my artificial valve tipped her off. Wife freaked, but I pointed out that with Rabbit on my chest, it was the same as my "pain pillow".
The two I have now, one was given to me (Miss Pearl) shortly after my little brother died. a couple months later, I rescued Noisy Nag from a crack house. Pearl is stand-offish, but when I sit at the table, she wants attention. Noisy will accept any affection, and comes to me often, demanding it. I ask her for a kitty kiss, and she immediately bumps heads with me. I ask that of Pearl, and she just shows me her butt.
