Own a joke? What I am talking about is LITERALLY the same exact meme I've seen on another site being passed off here as someone else's. Same exact picture with same exact caption........Same exact meme. As far as me posting a meme with my opinion, well, I don't see it being any different than any other user doing it.....yourself included. Examples follow.

Honestly, if nothing changes, what's to stop me from simply doing what I've done here by copying your memes, but then submitting them? Not the end of the world sure, but pretty Damn annoying wouldn't you say?

Get over it. If you don't steal from others then you have nothing to worry about. My opinion is just as valid as yours. Just because there is a small group that's ok with it and "having fun" doesn't mean everyone else is. I guess they should all just get over it as well, right? Point is, I'm never mean. I post proof of theft and a reminder that it can be done better. You're coming here is making a bigger deal out of it than I ever have. Just because you haven't seen any of those before doesn't negate the fact that THEY WERE STOLEN by someone unwilling to simply give the true authors credit. You may need to realize also that just because people like us simply do this as a hobby, there are those that make money off of what they do. I guess they should get over it too though, right? i know what theft is thank you, i am a artist who deals with it 24/7. my insperation was a artist who simply GAVE UP BECAUSE OF THEFT
but this isn't theft, i understand other people may do this for a living, but let me tell you this, from my experience here this is nothing like the art world.

here, you take a picture, put funny subtitles on it, post it, and others have the ability to comment other funny things to it.

art, such as deviant art, and any other art site, is different when it comes to theft.
art theft is when you draw soeones design of a character, and claim it as yours.
art theft is when you say you made something, though you didn't.
art theft is when you REPOST KNOWING THAT IT IS SOMEONE ELSES AND SAYING THAT YOU MADE IT
