As far as I'm concerned the only reason to own a gun in the US is for protection from others and protection from the government.

Killing animals is pathetic grasp to feel strong and is completely unnecessary.

Dangerous animals, food, and even thinning a dangerous deer population to protect the health of the herd and our cars, are valid reasons. But I do not promote random killing or sport killing.
