We had self control and learned conflict resolution playing games by ourselves. Either got along or game ended. Now parents and referees decide everything and when a 19 yr okd’s Mom dies and he’s pissed over life & a girl, he shoots up a school. No conflict resolution skills ever developed. Reactions no longer proportionate to problem,

Back when kids showed their parents respect, schools said prayers and teachers could discipline students. Seems like the country was better back than than it is now

Evil is the absence of God, the default position. God was kicked out of school by Supreme Court mandate in 1963. (Read 1st and 14th amendment which applies 1st to states). Where does 1st amendment apply to executive or judicial branches or any other government body except for the legislature?

The US Supreme Court decides the 1st Amendment prohibition on the legislature applied to schools too, and forbid what was common reference to God, morals, prayer, Christmas or Easter based on a new interpretation that made government hostile to religion, rather than walking together in mutual respect. Religion & its principles were forbidden in public schools. The ACLU enforces it vigilantly with litigation. So teachers have no morale reference point when discussing good and evil. It’s all whatever you want good to be. Without a God based standard it’s might makes right via situational ethics.

Almost no part of what you just said is true or accurate.

The Supreme Court has ruled that the First Amendment applies to all of government, yes.

References to God, morals, prayer, Christmas or Easter are not prohibited. That is false.

The government is not hostile to religion. It cannot endorse or prohibit the free exercise of religion.

Religion itself is not prohibited in public schools. Students are free to pray, discuss religion and talk about God. The teachers and administrator cannot endorse or lead students in worship, however.

You're saying that without God, there are no moral standards. That is false. I don't believe in God and I have moral standards, as do other nonbelievers.

If God determines what is moral, does that mean you try to follow all the rules he laid down in the Bible?

Except that schools can't legally lead students in prayer, and they shouldn't. Do you really want the government instilling religious beliefs into your children? What if they have a Muslim teacher? Would you be okay with that teacher leading your kids in prayers to allah?

Also, the 50s was back when segregation was still legal. Don't think you want that to come back, do you?
