Sure.... it was originally the Black Square Alliance... imgflip had different icons. Black Square was a low point icon. Users started to choose black Square including some popular users, possibly as a symbol of defiance to icons and points. Usage waned a bit when trolls started to make copycat accounts, and black Square was an easy icon to achieve. Then the icons changed, I believe it was because black Square was a thorn in the side of the mods... also it’s not easy anymore to create a copycat account... so now here we are.... feel free to join the black star alliance, temporarily or forever :) :)

I’ll join permanently and l change my icon to a black star for the cause
