Yep, I'm an Aussie! :)) Are you from Australia too? :) I live in the city of Adelaide in South Australia, Australia :) I go for the Adelaide Crows in the AFL which is the football team from Adelaide. Go Crows ;)

Yep, been here nearly 50 years!
I'm in Bassendean, a small suburb on the river near Perth in W.A.
All the yanks are complaining about been frozen in and we're boiling over here :-)
Good luck with the Facebook page and blog!

Wow! It's a small world? I thought you might have lived overseas and you live in Perth?!! Yeah, it has been very hot over here in Australia this summer, I think every summer seems to be hotter and hotter? I definitely know it feels like that in Adelaide. Definitely don't like the heat waves, way too hot for me! Definitely don't like the heat that much. I have a good friend in America and he sent me some pics over Christmas and at his place it was freezing and there was snow everywhere outside in the street. It looked like a winter wonderland, really beautiful! I wish here in Australia we could have a white Christmas but definitely don't think that one's ever gonna happen? Lol. I said to him if he was out here in Australia for Christmas he'd have to bring shorts, t shirts and flip flops. Exactly the opposite compared to over there. Lol. I actually grew up in the country and my home town is Waikerie in the Riverland in South Australia and I moved to Adelaide when I was 22 years old. Love it here and have been here ever since :) My home town had about a population of 4,200 people, I think the population has decreased since back then? I definitely love the city life but always go back to visit the family at Waikerie :)) Thanks for the good luck wishes :))) It's awesome to meet another Aussie on here! :)

Yeah, Adelaide is a beautiful place, traveled across the Nullarbor to there in the late 80's. Although we don't get snow much over here, it still gets pretty cold in parts. I went trout fishing last winter in our South West and it was bloody freezing in my little tent :-) Up at 5 in the morning walking around the dam, cold but so peaceful and beautiful. I use this template a lot in comments and always put lots of crikey mate and cobbers, just to amuse/confuse the yanks!

Love it!!! Lol! Awesome template! Yeah, the slang here in Australia, I think a lot of people from overseas have a bit of trouble understanding our Aussie slang? I only came to realise this because just recently a friend on Facebook posted something about this in her group. She posted a video about the Aussie words we use out here and man, I didn't realise we had so many until I watched the video. It just went on and on? I thought it was never gonna stop with the Aussie slang? Lol. No wonder people from other countries have trouble understanding it, I would too! Lol. I didn't realise there was that much? Whoa? That is very early at 5am to get up and go fishing, you must be a very keen fisherman? I used to go fishing when I was growing up and loved it! Especially when I use to catch more fish than my dad. Lol. We use to go fishing for callop in the River Murray, awesome fun times but during the day. Lol. It must be cold sleeping in a tent and walking around a dam at 5am in the morning? I think I would turn to ice? Lol. Have to be rugged up like an Eskimo? It would be relaxing and beautiful out there though :) I haven't been to Perth before but my cousin and his family live over there and they love it :)) They've been over there for awhile now. Yeah, I love Adelaide, it's a beautiful place :) Just don't confuse too many people from overseas with our Aussie slang ;) lol.
