It bewilders me that many people think that kicking out a tiny minority will somehow drastically improve their lives there are much greater issues and concerns to worry about.

well they mostly don't really think that, as far as I can tell. they're just repeating the slogans of their leaders, slogans and themes selected mainly for the purpose rallying people to their particular camp. if it's any consolation, that kind of brainwashing is not new and it's not confined to one camp or one country. it's as old as mankind, part of who we are. you can think of it as part of your education about people. then think about how you can combat it.
