We pronounce Wednesday as if the N comes first, but the correct way to pronounce it is with the D first. Not many people say it like that anymore, because it’s harder to say. Just like most people don’t pronounce February correctly anymore. It’s so rarely done, that it’s simply wildly accepted, even if it may be incorrect.
