That's not too surprising. Close to 9/10s of mine are from comments. I think you'll find the ratio increases as you go along: Raydog's ratio is close to 19/20s or only 5.5% of his work are submissions. Submissions from DasHopes ands isayisay? Approximately 1.8% of the memes they've created. (!) Sharing humor is cool but 'community' comes from the comments.
