Trump didn’t say anything about poor brown people or rich white people. He simply asked why dems want to bring so many people in from shit hole countries, such as Haiti, as opposed to non shit hole countries, like Norway. It was a question that no one bothered to answer, btw. The media, as usual, then made it about race. They’ve been calling republicans racist for so long that’s its lost all meaning.

Meaning may not be totally lost when considering the differing angles in the debate. From one angle, immigrants are viewed as being brought in by the U.S. Government, which could choose otherwise. From another angle, immigrants make up their own minds to go to a new place which, to them, seems like a better place for fulfilling dreams, etc. Some find that meaningful.
