The first one is the 2010 special Senate election for the US Senate back in 2010 where Republican Scott Brown defeated Democrat Martha Coaxley in a historic upset. The second is the electoral college map of Obama vs. Romney 2 years later.

Oh yes and don't forget that 2 years later Elizabeth Warren came back to defeat Brown and take the seat back for the Democrats. Expect that to happen in Alabama by the GOP in 2020. The Republicans are going to be extremely careful of who they nominate in 2020 for that seat now.
