When I was in Africa, my "hut" was next to the Zambizee (sp?) river, and I was told to watch out for the hippos. They even had guards with rifles to escort me to my hut!

What? You’ve been there? Awesome! You know that movie of Gerard’s “machine gun preacher” about Sam Childers? I desperately want to go on one of his mission trips!

I’ve been twice—worked at an orphanage. Yes, I’ve seen that movie and loved it. Where he is/goes, is really dangerous—lots of Muslims who hate “westerners”. And you’ve seen what they do to the poor kids :( That being said, I think you should go and just be extra careful if you go to Sudan. It is so worth it:)
