Thanks. It's so frustrating. Out of my last 14 submissions only one has gotten over 10 upvotes and only one over 100 views. Most get about 3 upvotes and 50ish views. I've only had one or two get over 40 upvotes since making the leaderboard if I remember correctly. So crazy because I used to have at least a few a week that did well.

It’s not upvotes, it’s someone or more than one and their alternate accounts downvoting!

Is there any way to know for sure when you get downvoted other than it effecting the traction of a submission?

Not that I know of. But I’ve had one that was front page go back to submission. And it’s only from someone downvoting it. Some of these people must be really miserable to do that. I’ve never even flagged anyone except once because it was child porn but I got totally attacked for it.

I do downvote on occasion, but only for things grossly inappropriate, foreign language, and especially anything that mocks people with disabilities.

I haven’t done it often but when one person started shit with me unnecessarily I did, they told me to quit imgflip and that I should kill myself. That’s just not ok.

That's crazy. That would take a serious amount of downvoting and troll accounts. I wish they would just enable the downvoting altogether. And at minimum the mods should be able to detect accounts that constantly downvote and then ban them. We should seriously start a campaign to pressure the mods to do it. That's how we got the comment timer removed for our own memes

Yeah up until maybe three or four months ago the timer was on our own memes too. It was so ridiculous like we'd spam our own memes. Someone made a post calling for the mods to change it and we all upvoted it and kept it at the top of page 1 for so long, plus lots of people emailed the mods so the took notice.
