It's not really about the points, but it's about the points.

I am not even sure some know that they have a comment on their meme. Another user and I had a long conversation on someones meme, and I don't think they even knew. It was a teacher who made a classroom rule. Some of the things we said were pretty funny, so I hope one day he/she discovers the comments.

Sometimes I check theeir profile to see if they make comments. If they ask questions I let them know its courtesy to upvote comments on their memes, and there are some that just dont.

I was lucky enough to be told that upfront. My guess is some users just don't know

I know what you mean. I find a new user will tell me they like or lol'd at a comment or meme. Just not enough to upvote! I think you're right, they just don't know it's polite.

Wellll I will say I didn't upvote a couple of really idiotic comments. That had things like the F word or something. Other than that yes.

disagreeing is different than being a complete ass. I don't upvote those either. I have upvoted things that made absolutely no sense though.
