Sandy was considered a coastal storm, not a main-land storm. It also never went higher than Category 3. It was only responsible for a couple hundred deaths, where all the top hurricanes are more in the thousands of deaths. So compared to storms in the past, I still can't see how climate change is responsible for the tecent hurricanes, especially when clinate change has been a topic for 17 years now, minimum.

But the timeline does work and it does help those who deny the cause being climate change. Do a search for the most devastating tropical storms and you should find a site with the top 25 listed. Only 7 of them happened in the last 60 years. Those who are claiming climate change is the problem is also stating that it is causing the most devastating storms. There were at least 6 more devastating than Katrina. Sandy might only be considered worse than Katrina because it effected 6 countries. When some of the most devastating storms happened around or over 100 years ago, it does not support climate change as the cause.
