Sports cards I had as a kid are worth a lot because we put them in our bike spokes and destroyed them. Printed a million? only a hundred are left. That mint condition card you bought in 1997? Might as well put it in your bike spokes.
I closed down my comic book shop a while back. people got pissed because I wouldn't buy their priceless collection of 5.0 1990's comics and pay 10.0 prices. any collectable is only worth what somebody is willing to pay for it.
