THANKS seriously. :D I've experienced very little in terms of side effects thank God. Barfed maybe 3 times etc. But ive still got crud in me that cd kill me if the maintenance chemo fails and going back to regular doesnt work and heavier than that doesnt work. Nobody is talking cure. Asked oncologist if taking the lung out (never smoked but it hapens anyway sometimes) wd do the trick if it came to it and i guess the reason it won't is cuz that wont guarantee about where it spread before. The chemo so far has gotten cancer contained to the lung for a little while now (initial chemo was in nov but it was a bit b4 1st really good ecan result). I guess really the main physical suffering was all the fluid on my lungs prechemo. Got hooked up to drainage thing twice! Once per lung. Nasty to see the blood and crud flowing out but sorta got used to it a little. I hope i never take normal breathing for granted. :D

Wow, that doesn't sound too pleasant either ... I heard that chemo improved drastically in the past 10 years. I guess it depends what kind of cancer one has and where.
My aunt had breast cancer. After the operation, the little bastard migrated to her liver. There she received chemo but had horibble side effects with her hair falling out. That was in the mid-nineties though.
Do you take pills for your chemo or do they inject you with something?

Ive got a port implanted and they hook up the various ivs to it and draw blood for my labs from it. Though itz bn a bit cantankerous of late and has to be worked over a bit to get it to work. I keep telling myself how handy and helpful it is and its not like itz in the middle of my forehead lol. Itzjust to the inside of my left shoulder. They were keeping an eye on my liver cuz they werent sure about something but it turned out to be a harmless cyst. Whew! Funny thing is i dont recall it being mentioned until after they knew it was okay but i cd be wrong and it was and i just blocked it out. I had to kind of absorb the whole business slowly.

I see ... My aunt had to get these injections every week. I'm not sure wether locally to her liver or generally, but it made her pretty sick. It seems the methods came a long way since.
Sure, it's a lot to take for a person. For how long will you have to do this anyway?

Indefinitely. But who knows what they'll come up with down the line as far as treatment breakthroughs, improvements, cures? If God wants to full on heal me miraculously that wd be a rare thing but i'm open to the possibility but won't go running to any alleged faith healers.
