I UNDERSTAND MATT VOGEL HAS SOMETHING TO SAY ABOUT IT | made w/ Imgflip meme maker
Still, Steve did a good job, after having to step up when Jim Henson died. It should have been a lifetime gig for him, but no, Disney likes to screw around with successful formulas.

I won't blame Matt for taking over. A job is a job. Still, not sure what the issues involved were, as neither Whitmire or Disney are willing to speak about. Something like that is a clue that neither party wants the issues known as it can be embarrassing for both. Still, Steve has been a Muppet master for near 4 decades. That's a long time. To be bounced on his ass with no recourse...

Don't be surprised if Disney doesn't turn Kermit the Frog into having been a transgender tadpole who suddenly now discovers he can come out of the pond, embrace his new gender identity and become an environmental activist against Trump and the USA

I don't think they'll go that far, but it could happen. Too much money to be made. The first thing they'd do to go that political is to see exactly how their audience make up is. Kermit has already had liberal ideals since the days of Jim Henson, especially aiming at corporate leaders (think Doc Hopper in the Muppet Movie)

Trump has actually worked with the Muppets on Sesame Street, alongside a parody of himself, a grouch (like Oscar) named Donald Grump.

But, bottom line: would your scenario be profitable for Disney? If not, they won't do it. That's why neither Disney or Whitmire will discuss what the issues involved are. It would hurt both of their incomes. Disney will accept the negative press on this because it's not as bad as saying why they chose to part company.

Look how they politicized the Star Wars franchise... The 'white' stormtrooper turned out to be a black guy... who leaves and takes up with a young woman and together the work against the oppressive young, white male who can't control the Force and in the end the older 'establishment' white male is killed and the minority man and the privileged female go off to fight against the 'EMPIRE"

I stopped watching the Star Wars franchise when they went to 100% CGI on Cartoon Network several years ago, so I have no idea what you're talking about. Actually, the last Star Wars film I saw was Episode 2.

Be that as it may, Disney will do what it feels is good for it's shareholders. As is, I don't go to the movies, Disney hasn't come up with anything I'd be interested in, not even their Marvel Universe, and it's been a LONG time since I dropped any cash in the movie theaters. Most of my entertainment dollars have been going into Japanese Anime. What they do with their properties is their business, literally. I could either buy stock in the corporation to vote against their decisions or I can just ignore their offerings. I've chosen the latter. I suggest that you take this up with them directly. You can write them at this address:

The Walt Disney Company.
500 South Buena Vista Street.
Burbank, CA 91521-4873

It would do more good than proselytizing here on a humor meme site.
