God did not create a world of suffering and hate. God created a perfect world where a perfect human being, created in the likeness of a perfect God, was given choice and free will, destroyed it by bringing sin into its perfection.

God allowed a perfect creation to choose for himself a God with unlimited power and compassion, or a temporary worldly pleasure. Man brought sin into the world, not God.

That would be great and all, but I don't believe in God.

Maybe not, but you essentially asked a question and I gave an answer.

It shouldn't be, being touted as all-knowing, all-seeing, all-powerful etc etc. Yet the way the Judeo-Christian god is written, it seems to be either a step behind what's going on, or entirely reactive to situations it, again, really should have predicted.

At least in the NT, if we go with the 'fan theory' about Judas-Jesus collusion, we come away with a storyline with some 'Ocean's Eleven' flair to it.
