Well, that's half of it!. It was also a show of poor judgement when approaching an intersection. Many just think J.D. crashed his car at high speed, but he wasn't going all THAT fast!. He was approaching a "Y" in the road, with another vehicle coming in his direction. Neither driver fully anticipated what the other driver would do.
