If that's what you wish to believe. You have that free will. But you'll also reap the consequences of your decisions.

Except that luck won't make any difference for you after you're gone.

Nothing will happen after I'm gone.

Okay, here's a thought. If nothing happens to you after you pass away, what's the point of living? What's the point of having any morals on this earth of there are no consequences?

You don't need religion to have a purpose in life, and you don't need God to be good.

You're not understanding the point I made. If God doesn't exist and there is nothing after we die (we just cease to exist), what's the point of even continuing on with this life? To gain possessions of things that won't matter? To aimlessly exist for a brief moment in time? Why? Why even have a set of morals if it doesn't matter?

A god isn't necessary for ANY of those things.
