But never Thursday. Thursday is bowling night. You haven't lived until you've seen a Klingon bowl.

The bowl, while disturbing, isn't the worse part. I don't care for food that moves, usually. (there are instances, but that would make this meme NSFW)

I feel I should attempt to clarify lest the majority of readers misunderstand. The bowl to which Swiggys-back refers is a ceremonial bowl that humans do generally find highly disturbing for reasons I won't get into here. It is central to a weekly ritual involving copious amounts of maximally raw Klingon hamsters only eaten on Thursday evening aka bowling night (they insist on that translation). To participate in the ceremony is to "bowl". And to observe it as a human is not something I would recommend.

While fresh gagh is a common snack, I understand that many have grown decadent in their dining habits, even on Bowling Night. For example, can you imagine my surprise when one young upstart offered up Heart of Targ on Bowling Night. DOMESTICATED targ! Kids these days. Needless to say, it cost his family honor dearly. At least we know that their pet targ ate well upon his flesh.

What else could be done under the circumstances? You pull a stunt like that you are targ chow period. Wild targ and he would have gotten community service. I mean, still embarassing of course. Oh by "observe it as human" I meant participate albeit in the extremely limited way non-Klingons may do so. Basically a little live gagh (or lots if you've developed a taste for it) then the dead stuff as long as you ritually wiggle it around to mimic live gagh. I've since discovered that dead gagh isn't half bad served with carefully replicated Spam and Cheez Whiz. And of course only Klingons may eat the sacred hamster. Fine with me.

Heart of WILD targ is a delicacy perfect for formal dinner, but should be prepared only by a chef of experience and renown. Domesticated Targ is only served at the McDonalds franchises on Q'onoS, and then, only to tourists. It took a lot to get them to understand that most tourists prefer Ketchup instead of blood on their burgers.

It's amazing the difference in diet alone between wild and domesticated can make. Of course no one wants to switch out the kibble and find the kids...well it would be gruesome if that terrible incident tells the story. If your targ goes missing and goes feral it will only act like its old self to fool you.
