And apparently, people who didn't manage to vote are pissed off enough to protest and go to town halls (a little late but the public exercising its authority is the point of not having a king).

Actually only those who would have voted for someone other than Trump. Even if you look back when Obama was elected, how many protests took place by those who didn't like it? I don't remember hearing of people pulled from their vehicles and beaten, buildings attacked and destroyed, all because Obama was elected. Violent protests are not the answer, and only shows how childish they are being about the situation.

When Obama was elected? No. When he started getting to work? Yes. There were at least six Tea Party protests from 2009 to 2010, and while there weren't beatings, there were threats, people brought guns to town hall meetings (don't see that now), and Democratic representatives were spat on. Does the lack of beatings excuse that? Is there a way back from the current violence or will it keep escalating? Or maybe I should have included how Trump supporters assaulted protesters at their rallies as a contributing factor.

There were violent protests before Trump went to work. There were protests before the electoral college was finalized. But there where mire than just beatings that have taken place since Trump was elected. When did anti-Obama protestors vandalized buildings in protest of him being elected?
