No kidding! We have a water filter because it creeps me out (and we have a little lead). No solid research to back it up either.

lead's scary too! so are 'mercury fillings' in teeth and what not, stuff that many still walk around with. nanofilters are getting better, time magazine's invention of the year years back was that life straw deal, but still, the filtration system in people's sinks for the most part is non-existent...and fluoride is NOT good for us is my guess anyway, and it doesn't prevent cavities despite what dentists who don't ever explain how it prevents cavities have to say on that matter and even if im wrong about that and it does, even if it guarantees you'll never get a cavity, the adverse effects it has on the brain and microbiome and other parts of the body are worse than cavities anyway; it's likely toxic waste being dumped into us instead of otherwise illegally being dealt with, various byproducts from various operations throughout the world...fluorine is on the periodic chart of elements; it's a thing, but fluoride...yeah, what's the chemical code or graph or ingredients or constituents of that? does literally ANYONE even know? what if it changes based on what's available, or if its different formulas for different states for different reasons, etc.? paranoia? perception? depends on the Truth!

soooooooo...what im personally planning to do though I haven't admittedly just YET, but like within a year im thinking, is to collect rainwater with super clean gutters with filters i'll just jam into the thing ever few feet or so and they'll all run down into one gutter exit which will drain directly into a 500 gallon tank (still working on figuring out what the best material to 'store water' in is, less 'leeching' of the material into the water etc. but ill go with something before I won't do this plan) which I plan to bury in my back yard with pipes sticking into it and up through the ground so with ladles or by other means, maybe a cheapy pump system, i'll be able to extract the 'filtered rain water' for cooking and drinking and so on. solar lights with the panels in the window strung through your house constitutes remote controlled different color variable options lighting for free through the night too...free tip for whoever reads it. water I trust; fluoride I don't. period.
