I've never seen the film, although I was born in a mob town. Almost didn't need to because I've enough friends that thought it was a training film.

So far, everyone in my circle of friends that fall in my age group agrees it's reminiscent of the Saturday Night Massacre from 1973. Depending on how closely he follows Nixon's playbook, he'll either resign or be impeached before 2020. If that doesn't happen, expect a dictatorship. Already his flunkies are working towards the jailing of Journalists. Not seen that since WWI, and then, they had to pass a sedation act that was later overturned by the Supreme Court.

Although I'm all for freedom of the press, I don't necessarily agree with newscasters and reporters personally attacking and ridiculing the United States President like he is no different than anyone else. So I don't know exactly where I stand regarding the possible incarceration of journalists and the like who are defaming Trump's name.

I put them in the same boat as the "Journalists" that defamed Obama during his administration. I left a progressive page because that's all the editor wanted to do with Trump. Right now, because of the firing of Comey, a lot of journalists are making comparisons, like I mentioned, to Nixon and the Saturday Night Massacre. His actions for censoring the investigation by Comey's staff makes him look as guilty as hell. Hillary did just the opposite when she gave Wassermann-Schultz the plum assignment after rigging the primaries in her favor. That cost Hillary the election, not Comey. Now, it seems, that Trump's actions will cost him the Presidency, either by ouster or resignation.

I actually hope that an independent investigation will show that Trump is not in cahoots with Russian President Putin in any bad way. I don't even care if they become close. That's fine. I'm more of a WORLD person than a NATIONAL/PATRIOTIC person anyway

I'm not sure what an independent investigation will turn up, but based on his actions, I suspect the worst.
