I personally have never had a week...I just participate in the theme weeks of others...but as far as advice goes, I noticed that you only have 22 comments since you first started Imgflip...that's where you need to improve...
Here's what you do...First, go to the memes on the front page and make as many funny meme comments as you can...both to the memes and to any memes in the comment stream that you want to reply to...the funnier you are the more people will upvote your comments and begin to notice your memes...EVERYONE looks at the front page memes so you want to make your presence known in those memes for sure...also go to the "latest" pages and do the same, if noone goes to the latest pages and looks at those memes then most newer user memes don't get seen
That's the first step for new users...You just got to make yourself known...if your memes and comments are truly funny, you will get the upvotes...go to the profile's of some of the top ten users and look at their memes. See what has worked for them and get an idea or two...For me, most of my best ideas come from commenting and interacting with other users...
Be respectful to other users and they will usually do the same in return...most importantly, have fun and be funny with your memes and comments...One more thing, make sure you upvote the memes and comments that you reply to. If you do, more likely than not, they will in turn upvote yours…it’s kind of meme etiquette around here…
I give this same advice to everyone that asks because it is the one tried and true method to get noticed on this site…if you look at any top user, you will see that they have comments that number in the thousands…that is not coincidence!!!
