Funny, but I've had 3 submissions a day since before my account was a week old. You get three after something like 15000 to 20000 points. Points aren't hard to get. Just making upvoteable memes helps,but if you want to really be able to submit three a day, you either need a pro account or you need to get more points.
Making memes are only a small part of getting points. Get out there and use the social aspect of the site. Comment, meme comment, on the posts you like. I needed under 1000 points Saturday night to hit 1/2 million points. Imgflip didn't feature my memes that I'd submitted because they were upgrading the system. I started meme commenting every post I could, on topic, and got within 80 points of that goal with less than 1/2 hour to go. Because I'm well known, I mentioned it to another user in a reply to them, and made it with 15 minutes to spare.
Get your points up to where you need them to get three submissions. Then, unless you go pro, you have to either make three a day or skip a day otherwise they cut you back to two.
It's just that simple.
