Usually, it works just the opposite. Unless you have a major following, NSFW memes don't get seen as often. Where I get 100+views views for a normal meme, i usually only get an about 30 on a meme marked NSFW. Views don't go up until days later, if lucky

tbh now that I think about it, NSFW memes dont get as much views, probably bc more people browse regular memes rather than NSFW memes

Also, there are a number of minors and people that surf imgflip from work. The have to uncheck nsfw, or have controls to prevent adult material from being displayed

That would probably explain it then.
