Seriously. I'm not an astronomer, but a quick skim through Google does point to scientist using both terms for the planet. One article, http://www.space.com/18706-uranus-composition.html, uses both terms, first saying it's an ice giant, then comparing it to the "other," gas giants, Jupiter, Saturn, Neptune. It is possible, as Uranus is so far from the sun that the gases that comprise the body have frozen. While it does have a mineral content higher than that of the earth, it is only a minor composition of the planet.
