Look a little deeper: You'll find insurance company subsidies were cut back several years ago in a rider on another bill. We know who controlled Congress then. That's why insurance rates skyrocketed. Ryan and company sabotaged a key piece of the ACA to make it look like a failure because they did not expect to have both houses and the executive office this year. Many backed away from the Trump proposal because they knew they would not be reelected in 2018 if they supported it.
