I've been top dog other places. Like the old West, everyone comes out to prove they're the best, but keep getting shot down. I'd rather be there covering Raydog's back.

Realistically, if I tried, it would take 5 to 10 years to even get that far. If I just have fun, squelch his detractors, and upvote his good memes and GIFs (nearly all of them) and he stays top dog, I don't have a problem. He's earned that spot. I'm glad I have someone to look up to. Around here, there are several.

Seriously. He has earned it. it completely blows my mind that he can put up more points in a week than I can make in a year. something else that's interesting is I was #69 last fall when work got crazy and I didn't have time for imgflip.

My cousin was like that. He joined a year ago, but only posted a few days and work kept him in a frenzy. He returned in January, first post hit front page and he's been there several times since. He's on the verge of 100k. Needs less than 1000 points.

I deleted my account in October. Memes weren't getting featured, they cut back my submissions. Trolls. I was less than 10K from 200K, and threw them away. I understand there was a shakeup of mods over the holidays.

Back the I went by Swiggy1957. Couldn't get that or the points back, so that's why I have my current name.

My cousin is CousinJohn. He doesn't get much time to comment. This week, he barely had time to post. He usually post car and transportation related memes. He even works those into theme weeks.

Seriously. Even if he just slowed down to half speed. :D And I'm just scratchin' toward 30k. Which might not be bad for 8 days or so in but lemme have my 1st 10k DAY then we'd be talking keeping pace. lol

In this instance, the lazy refers to actual production of memes and GIFs worthy of being upvoted. Instead of actually being entertaining, they seem to band together though multiple alt accounts and downvote featured posts back to submitted status. While downvotes don't hurt points directly, they can prevent actually entertaining memes from being seen.

Ya I figured u meant something like that but the wording was ripe for the joshing. :D l was on the cusp of 10k when i lost about 800 pts in a hearbeat. I figured maybe i'd hacked off some fan of a celeb I'd really only lightly roasted. I got to10k the next day.

Also let's be honest enough to admit the factor known as lack of talent. While raydog, for instance, obviously has comedic and creative gifts which many admire there's no reason to suspect that this here site lacks its share of ummmm notably less gifted individuals when it comes to making memes and such. Many could be quite good at other stuff. Cool. Unfortunately there are delusional hacks no doubt ready to be aggrieved at the alleged injustice of it all and some of them decide to step out for a (s)troll.

You're right about the less talented. While have a decent creative skill, part of that skill also involves the ability to find entertaining items. Many don't even try. Many post things that should be on a Facebook page of local humor, or a school website. It's the WORLD wide web not the Main Street and Jefferson Avenue local web. Still, they want the glory without the work it takes to find entertaining items. Hmmm, I just got an idea for a meme from that rant. LOL! Oh well, at least I know there are enough here that appreciate what I do. At least I'm on track for my next goal: one million points. I've set it to reach there by labor day. At a bit over 3K a day, I should reach it without a problem.
