It's obviously the gimmick. There's plenty of well-aged whisky around; why bother with an extra boost with radiation. 150 proof might detract from the (taste) enjoyment as it is.

I wonder if exposing it to radiation effects the price.

If anything make it cheaper. Barrel aging would cost more I would think.
