i have no hopes of ever seeing it end. i do like to point out to people that what they think they know about DST is most of the time wrong (farmers and school kids)

Very true. And it doesn't even help economically. After all, number one trade partner China doesn't use DST.

when the first ideas for DST was kicked around it did have just enough logic that maybe it could have helped but it was a stretch. now it doesn't even have that much going for it.

i ain't really thrilled by china because while they don't do DST anymore they also don't believe in time zones. they only have one and should have something like 4. time zones have pros and cons

At work I sometimes use GPS and other government data, everything in UTC makes it easier.
