If someone broke into your house would you attack them in self defense? I'm guessing you would. If a dangerous group (like fascists) is a threat to their country, are they just going to sit back and do nothing? I'm not saying violence is the answer, but fighting back against something that's a threat to you or your country isn't the same as them "attacking anyone who doesn't agree with" them.
Broke into my house?? Your argument just went off the rails with a false comparison. Even if people have horrible ideas, let them speak so everyone sees how crazy they are. (The BNP for instance) Speech and ideas are not in the same realm as "breaking into my house". I have the ability to debate bad ideas into the ground because I didn't waste my education on a liberal arts degree. You do understand that words aren't violence...right?
Yes I understand that words aren't violence. And I never said that people should be attacked for what they say. I was making a comparison between someone breaking into your house and presenting a threat to your safety to a group that is a threat to the society they live in. I hear conservatives talk all the time about restricting Muslim immigration for that very reason: they see Muslim immigrants as a threat to society, and they don't see words as the solution.
The mass muslim immigration situation is a whole different issue.(check Germany, France and Sweden about that). ANTIFA are violently attacking people about speech and ideas. Believe me, when real fascists rear their heads I will be right there putting them down like dogs, my family has done it proudly for generations. I will however defend speech and the unmolested free expression of ideas. Even if they are stupid.
