I owned a magic the gathering store. Sold MTG, and all the other card games. Plus Sports cards and anything gaming.

was the name Magic the Gathering something? I've never heard anyone refer to a hobby shop as a MTG store. lol

when did you own the store? what happened to it? :{O

We called it the Magiic store. I had it from 1998 till around 2011 or 2012. It died with online gaming so I sold it off.

My friend still does tournaments too. His wife hates that he's still into it too. :{D

I think it would be cool if you got the chance to open another one.

Not at all. Sorry sometimes if I log off img for a night I can have 40ish notifactions and some get lost in the batch. I would love to have another Magic Store but in reality I don't see it happening. Not many players left in my area and the ones that did have moved away or have family's now, like me lol

I was worried my meme comment about amazon or the wording of the comment made it sound passive aggressive.

Do you live in the midwest or a place that gets a lot of snow/rain? Cause I can see places where kids have to spend more time indoors would be more likely to sell more hobby shop stuff like card games and tabletop games.

I live in the south and we rarely get snow, but it is hot enough in the summer to keep most kids inside and I think that's why we still have as many shops as we do. It's like 3-4 in just the two neighboring cities. :{D
